A recent survey by the investment platform eToro shows that retail investors in the UAE are considering lofty financial goals for 2025, with a large emphasis on investments in cryptocurrencies. Inside these 1,000 participants, 37% planned on ramping up their exposure to crypto assets, demonstrating growing faith in digital currencies.
Other than crypto investment, investors are also interested in other conventional financial assets such as equities, fixed-income securities, property, and the list continues. The findings highlight a proactive approach to wealth building and personal development among UAE investors.

The survey underscores a balanced investment strategy among UAE investors. While 37% aim to boost crypto investments, 40% plan to increase exposure to stocks, bonds, and commodities. Additionally, 38% intend to invest in real estate, indicating a preference for tangible assets alongside digital and financial instruments.
Most notably, the respondents showed a clear focus on monetary objectives where 54% expressed that they have financial objectives for the new year. Such goals include creating and compiling various types of investment as well as coming up with various and creative ways of pulling wealth. Additionally, 51% of these respondents indicated that they wanted to improve on the level of savings or increase their contributions towards investments thus underlining the aspect of disciplined saving.

To achieve these goals, UAE investors are adopting diverse strategies. Budget management is a priority, with 41% committing to detailed expense tracking. Furthermore, 38% aim to embrace frugal lifestyles, while 28% intend to reduce discretionary spending, such as dining out and shopping.
In addition to cost-cutting measures, many participants are exploring ways to boost income. About 32% plan to start side businesses and 28% are considering career changes for higher salaries. These approaches reflect a forward-thinking mindset, focusing on both financial security and income growth.
