eBay is now looking forward to adding cryptocurrency as a payment option. Moreover, eBay is an e-commerce giant and it is now on its way to explore opportunities in the non-fungible token (NFT) business.
eBay to Integrate Crypto Payments
In a CNBC interview held on Monday, the CEO of eBay Jamie lannone spices up things by revealing news that he is stepping forward on accepting cryptocurrency as a payment option which may lead to a great success in the future. And also said that he is trying to explore opportunities in NFT on how they can enable or implement it on ebay in an easier way.
NFT is a kind of digital asset which exists in blockchain where anyone can verify its ownership with a unique digital signature and is easily accessible.
Earlier paypal announced an idea of allowing customers to use cryptocurrency as a payment, where they can convert their bitcoin or litecoin in PayPal digital wallet to a flat currency so that they can use it in their checkout.
Now Jamie lannone said that they are accepting some other mode of payments like PayPal , Google pay, Apple pay, etc…and also said they will continue to look for other options similar to cryptocurrency.
These modes play a major role in digital payment solutions. Initially they had an idea of virtual currencies but now they are stepping forward to implement it in the future.
