  • Gulf Craft becomes first MENA shipyard to accept regulated crypto payments
  • Integration of ARP Pay boosts flexibility with USDT and USDC stablecoin support
  • UAE’s fintech leadership grows as Gulf Craft embraces compliant digital finance

In a bold move to redefine luxury yacht purchasing in the Middle East, Gulf Craft has introduced a fully regulated cryptocurrency-to-fiat payment system. This groundbreaking development makes Gulf Craft the first shipyard in the MENA region to officially support digital asset transactions for vessel purchases and services.

The shift comes at a time when the global yachting industry is witnessing a rise in demand for flexible, tech-forward payment options. With this integration, Gulf Craft positions itself as a pioneer in combining maritime excellence with fintech innovation.

New Digital Horizon for Yacht Buyers

According to the press release, Gulf Craft’s adoption of cryptocurrency payments enables customers to buy yachts, refit services, or leisure craft using stablecoins like USDT and USDC. The solution, powered by ARP Pay a Bahrain-licensed fintech company converts digital currencies into AED or USD seamlessly.

This service ensures a compliant, fast, and cost-effective transaction process. It aligns with the evolving expectations of a growing group of tech-savvy, crypto-holding clients who prioritize privacy and efficiency.

The shipyard has already conducted a successful pilot program where part of a yacht’s price was paid in crypto. This test run not only reduced transaction costs but also improved the overall buyer experience. International clients benefited from quicker settlements and more transparent financial processes.

Backed by Visionary Leadership and a Digital Nation

Chairman Mohammed Hussein Alshaali emphasized that innovation is deeply rooted in the UAE’s maritime and commercial heritage. He believes embracing digital payments is a logical next step. The UAE continues to establish itself as a global leader in digital finance, backed by robust VARA regulations and a proactive fintech ecosystem.

Group CEO Erwin Bamps explained that crypto integration enhances customer experience while preparing Gulf Craft for a future shaped by digital commerce. He highlighted that buyers of Majesty and Nomad yachts, as well as the Oryx and SilverCAT series, can now use a secure and modern payment method.

UAE’s Digital Momentum Strengthens Gulf Craft’s Edge

Significantly, this move supports the UAE’s ambition to become the world’s most crypto-friendly nation. Besides offering buyer flexibility, it draws attention to the UAE’s ability to harmonize traditional manufacturing with emerging technologies. With 24/7 access to skilled fintech talent and progressive regulations, the region is an ideal breeding ground for such innovation.
