The oldest and the most popular E-commerce corporation of all times, eBay is said to integrate cryptocurrency as one of their means of payment anytime soon. They are also eyeing to explore the non-fungible token (NFT) business and its various opportunities.
The news has been circulating ever since eBay CEO Jamie lannone said in an interview with CNBC on Monday that they are looking forward to incorporating cryptocurrency as one of their latest payment options.

In the interview he was asked with many questions regarding the cryptocurrency industry and his views on it.
CEO said,
“We are expanding the types of payments that we take. We now take Apple Pay and Google Pay. More choice for buyers … We will continue to look at other options, like cryptocurrency”
He further on said,
“One of the great things about Ebay is that when there is a new trend, it just shows up on Ebay. That’s what we are seeing in areas like NFTs [non-fungible tokens], which we are looking at how we can explore that better.”
When asked if they would also enter into the NFT business, he replied <blockquote> “We are looking at it and exploring opportunities on how we can enable it on Ebay in an easy way”</blockquote>.

He profusely depicted that there are 187 million buyers on his platform. This indirectly means that once eBay incorporates the cryptocurrency payments – Bitcoin and Altcoins, this will for sure instigate the crypto industry with an overall market rise.
